At Martell, we use grapes that are grown in the exclusive Borderies region of Cognac, distil the finest crus and age in lightly toasted fine grain oak barrels. This creates the fruity and floral style for which Martell Cognacs have been enjoyed for three Centuries. The Martell House was founded in 1715 by Jean Martell, in France's Charente region. When he passed away in 1753, his wife and sons inherited a prosperous company with a strong reputation. The blend is a harmonious balance between eaux-de-vie from the major growing areas of the Cognac appellation.
